            that is just SOOO wrong. must have been Judd Winick's inspiration on the characters (just kidding)

            I would argue he has his mouth exposed to allow him speak without a mic and speaker. his voice can be more menacing whispered in the shadows as opposed to booming from the loudspeaker.

            also a full mask would be harder to breath through unless it was a full helemt ala iron man then he needs a full time O2 supply
