i'm a watchmen fan (one of the only readible comics of the last 20 years imo) but i'm a bigger bat-fan so i want to have my cake and eat it too i guess hopefully batman comes on dvd while the rest of the cast members are still alive.

I will defer to those more in the know here but isn't the issue with Batman 66 the same as watchmen, WB/DC have the characters and fox has the distribution? if so the only benfit is that WB and fox are learning to share the pis but they still have to agree on what part of the pie goes to whom. it may work in the opposite way if Fox feels shafted by the compensation ordered by the court

Correction: Eat your cake and have it too is the correct phrase...sorry it's a personal pet peeve i have about that saying.
If you Have your cake then you can eat it.
If you eat it you don't have it.

Historical side note: Ted Kaczynski was a stickler for the distinction, as well and that's how David Kaczynski was able to identify his brother from "The Unabomber Manifesto".
