Late Night Friday Comic Book Trivia Contest - Prizes! Fun! Fortune & Glory, Kid!

So here I had an idea to maybe try doing one of these here trivia type contests. I like Megos, I like comic books, hey, why not try and combine 'em up into a fun little contest thingie? Yes, why not?

    So here it is:

LATE NIGHT FRIDAY 1970s COMIC BOOK TRIVIA CONTEST!!!

First, to set the mood, how about we all enjoy the song-stylings of Mego's own Dynamic Singing Duo, The Captain & Tennile. After you're finished, just c'mon back here. Take your time, savor the moment. We'll wait here for you:

YouTube - Captain and Tennille - Love Will Keep Us Together

Isn't Toni just a bundle of perkiness? Too bad the Captain was such a sour party-pooper! They really should get their own TV show..huh? They did? Good for them!

Oh, right contest...ok, so here's what we're gonna do. I'll post five (5) questions about the 1970s ERA COMIC BOOK related adventures of various MEGO figures.

First person to answer all of them correctly will get a little prize package of a random '70s comic, a couple random Mego cards, and maybe a couple 1970s oddball goodies. Now don't get too excited...you're not gonna get anything worth a million bucks. Actually, the junk I plan to unload on the "winner"...excuse me, I mean, the fine collectible items I plan to offer as prizes will entertain you (I hope), and we'll all have a litte fun. And just maybe, if you're not too careful, you just might learn something. Or not.

Ok, so unless anyone out there wishes to hear some more from Toni & Daryl, let's get this baby started:

MEGO STAR QUESTION #1- THE MIGHTY ISIS:
Isis starred in a too short series from DC Comics. Sadly, DC never had the sense to showcase beautiful JoAnna Cameron on a photo cover, what a waste to not show JoAnna Cameron in that sexy white mini-skirt outfit!
Anyway... "Who was the first artist to draw Isis in a comic book?"

    MEGO STAR QUESTION #2- KISS:

KISS starred in a Marvel Comic Special that me & my friends literally read to pieces..the coolest comic book ever because KISS actually put their own BLOOD into the red ink!! You never heard of any other celebrities doing that, not even Alice Cooper!
Anyway..."Who gave Gene & the Boys the magic talismans that granted them powers?"

MEGO STAR QUESTION #3- WELCOME BACK,KOTTER:

There were 10 issues of a DC-TV comic dedicated to this classic sit-com, plus an oversized tabloid edition. Was it funny? Your results may vary.
Anyway..."What was the name of the elephant that became a pet to Gabe & the Sweat-Hogs?"

MEGO STAR QUESTION #4- ROBIN HOOD:

Poor Robin Hood...so many years of classic comic series, only to have to share a title in the seventies with somebody else...and to add insult to injury, the co-star series got all-new tales while Rob had to settle for reprints.
Anyway..."Who co-starred with Robin Hood in a short-run DC series of Specials?"

    MEGO STAR QUESTION #5- SUPERMAN:

Superman, for whatever blockheaded reason, continually rescued Lois Lane from danger. Now me, if I was Superman, I would not have settled for this snoopy, possessive witch. Lots of fish in the super-hero sea, such as that sexy mermaid Lori Lemaris...they don't get fishier than that!
"Anyway...in the early seventies, Lois Lane used a Kryptonian machine to change herself physically in order to write a hip, relevant newspaper column. What did Lois change herself into?"

So there you have it, my friends! Have fun, let's see what happens!

If this goes ok, we'll be back next week with another round of LATE NIGHT FRIDAY COMIC BOOK TRIVIA CONTEST...TEst...Test...test...tes..te..t..

Correct on all I believe EXCEPT for #1:
Dick Giordano drew Isis in "Shazam" #25, Sept. Oct. 1976. Ric Estrada drew her in "Isis" #1, Oct.-Nov. 1976.

You are correct sir! I didn't read the Toonopedia entry carefully enough.

I just picked up a decent run of "Shazam" comics last week! Her 1st appearance was in the lot.

Good work, guys, but you still have one of them wrong. I'll be honest, #1 is a tricky question.

*hint* Think hard about how I worded the blue question.

Perhaps what is meant here is 'who was the first artist [character] to draw Isis [with]in a comic book' in which case the answer might be something like Leonardo da Vinci (as a character within a comic book). I checked the first 3 issues (all that I have) of the Isis comic & didn't see anyone drawing her within those issues.

If this isn't the right track at least, I'm Stymied.
