Right now it looks like this movie opened FIFTH behind "Marley and Me", "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" , "Bedtime Stories", and "Valkyrie". What a sorry performance for Will Eisner's great character...but to be expected from the hack job Miller did on said character.

I liked it too but I've never read this comic to compare with.

On it's own I liked it.

I'm going to see it next month. I've read a lot of the comic and enjoyed it; for Eisner's superb art and design more than anything else. It should make for an interesting night out. I think that poster is pretty cool as far as movie posters go.

It actually placed ninth over the long weekend. Dismal showing. Bad word of mouth from the general public, and mostly disdain from the comic crowd due to Miller lording his vision over Eisner's killed this movie.

I hope someone takes away Frank's megaphone and shackles him to his drawing table. But please stick to your own stuff from now on Frank. You are incapable of doing any other property justice without Sinning it up.

I couldn't sit through it. I was kind of expecting to like it and be mad at myself but no dice...
