The Puzzler was a Superman foe but he was nothing like the Maurice Evans' character....that was more of a mix of Toyman and the Prankster IMO.

And I think The Puzzler was created as a last minute fill-in because Gorshin was unavailable to play the Riddler....

I always preferred Eartha Kitt as Catwoman myself.

My favourites would have to be Catwoman and King Tut.

Favorite Freeze: Sanders by a mile, all suave sang-froid and vengeful. Cool effects, too. Preminger was too stiff.

Favorite Catwoman: Merriwether, hands down! Lovely, classy, the best actress of the three. (I know, she was in the movie, not the show.)

Gorshin is a perfect Riddler, he did a great job of revitalizing the character. Very tightly wound, & it works.

Original villains Bookworm, False-Face, & Tut were excellent, could picture them in '50s comics. And other posters here have rightly pointed out Cliff Robertson's great Shame.

But (surprise!), the best Bat-foe for me was Buzz Meredith's Penguin.
He's largely the reason for my avatar. Just spot-on perfect--both a caricature come to life and a character in his own right.

                  Tut's in the comics now?

Interesting, but why bother when an established character like Maxie Zeus is basically the DCU Tut?

BTW, where's Meule? We need his opinion on foes here!

^^^ Yeahh. yeesh. And add to that Nora Clavicle or whatever her name is. That is probably the absolute worst piece of you know what episode, too. The whole pied piper bit with the mice in a reallllly bad stage set. Might be the official jump the shark moment forthe series if there was such a thing.

Nora Clavicle didn't do much for me but her assistants (Policewoman Mooney and others) were hot! Two of them were the twins from one of the Harry Mudd episodes on "Star Trek" I think.

Yeah, the Black Widow lady scared me as a kid. Kind of like going into a nursing home when you were a kid. You knew you were supposed to be happy, but you couldn't help but feel apprehensive.

Not really sure where that one came from.

Dr. Cassandra and her dopey-hippie husband were pretty bad too. And Lord Fogg's story went on FOR-EVER.

Nora Clavicle, Dr. Cassandra and Lord Phogg were all from Season 3...must've been something in the bong water that year.

Batman season 3 rivals Trek season 3 for overall-descent-into-suckiness. Unlike Trek though, there are no true gems in that season. No "Tholian Web" or "Spectre of the Gun". But there is Batgirl so...
