Secret Invasion Conclusion (Minor Spoilers)

Any one else feeling a little letdown by the lackluster conclusion to "Secret Invasion?" After all the build-up and all the cross-overs and backstory the last couple of years, that's it?

And now we go from "Secret Invasion" into "Dark Reign"....which apparently sees the Cabal (the evil counterpart to the Illuminati) converging. The Cabal is made up of Norman Osborn (leader), Dr. Doom, Emma Frost, The Hood, Loki, and Namor (who is playing both sides because he's also a member of the Illuminati).

Sidenote: Since WHEN is Loki a CHICK? I haven't kept up on the doings of Thor and the other Asgardians in a while but apparently Loki is now female.

Is it just me or does Norman Osborn seem to have too much power for someone that's just the Green Goblin. No offense to Spidey or his universe but c'mon....even though he's got some amped up strength, Goblin is just a guy in a halloween costume....certainly he's not on the power level with Doom, Loki and Namor.

And I hate to say it because it just started but the whole Cabal thing reminded me right off the bat of the little group of villains that started the "Acts of Vengeance" many years ago (with the villains switching the heroes that they battled). Been there, done that kinda thing. Interesting to see where they go with this for the next 2 years of cross-overs and minis.

I'm with you as to Osborn, looks like they're trying to turn him into Luthor

The Wasp died...everyone is still suspicious of each other....doesn't matter who the Skrulls were (like Spider-Woman) cause the originals are back again....that's it in a nutshell.

Does anybody know what the various Avengers lineups will be? Looks like the Hulk is in Mighty.

"Mighty" is going to be written by Dan Slott, with Bendis moving over to "Dark Avengers".
I'll probably be dropping Mighty and moving over to Dark to see what's going on. The Dark Avengers looks like Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, USAgent and a Venom. Off course everyone is obscured in shadows in the promo piece so who knows....

The new solicits have on the Mighty cover Hulk, Iron Man and some blonde that I thought was MS. Marvel at first, but now not so sure.

That seems totally familiar, didn't Civil war do a mini series were only one person died and make you keep reading the next miniseries? No wonder i stopped reading Marvel and DC is on the way to a similar standing.

I think Black Goliath was the big death in Civil War....and yes, Civil War spilled over into Secret Invasion which in turn leads in to Dark Reign....it never ends.

Marvel can't let the heroes just fight the bad guys for a bit before another earth shattering event, at least DC allows regular stories to flow out

And Hank Pym has now picked up the codename "The Wasp" in honor of his recently deceased ex-wife ....

This guy seriously needs to be locked up in Marvel's equivalent of Arkham Asylum if you ask me....
