    Geoff Johns off JSA

Sad news, he's gone along with Eaglesham and the editro as of issue 26. No announcement on the replacements yet, but if its Winnick I'm outta there. Really sucks, my regular DCu reading will be down to Secret Six if I quit JSA. ANd that one's next if it goes up a buck.

He's been on the book (both recent incarnations) pretty much since the relaunch of JSA. So if he needs to go on to other things I'm cool with that because he's set up a nice tapestry for others to follow. Hopefully his replacement is someone who is willing to continue what Johns has started and not someone who's ready to go off on some tangent to make the book "edgier".

As far as Eaglesham, I haven't really cared for his artwork. In fact, I've been excited with the little Jerry Ordway work that's been creeping into the pages the last several issues. It'd be great if they could get him as the regular artist...very underated IMO.

From the way they've been talking, I very strongly doubt it's Winick. Personal feelings about his stuff aside, I think that DC can tell that his writing style won't fit the JSA.

My personal suspicion is that it'll be Gail Simone.

Every title Johns has left has gone to pot. JSA is the only comic I'm currently keeping up with. I hope for his replacement, but fear for him as well. That has to be one of the toughest acts to follow.

I heard from Someone that if you pick up the Latest Issue of Wizard,.. there is an article interview with Johns' in the Book .. In the interview he talks about How he Wants to totaly Revamp & make the Legion Of Super Hero's cool,.. & relevent again with the DC Universe. He wants Jim Lee to draw it for him too. Johns also Quit writing BoosterGold,.. or atleast for the Moment,.. perhaps He is Working on this Legion Project,.. Perhaps he can Pull Lee away from that LamE-O Miller guy & that Abortion Batman Book ...

Anthiny is Possible,.. I dunno,.. I think when Johns wants something,.. he gets it.. to Me there is no one Better right Now in the DC Universe creative team.

Gail Simone would make me very happy. Roy Thomas would make me ecstatic!

Wouldn't mind Johns on LOSH, but get someone other than Lee. The Legionnares are kids, not steroid monsters.

That was something I really liked seeing in Johns's interview on Newsarama. He not only thanked his past collaborators, but also Paul Levitz and Roy Thomas for what they'd done for the JSA back in the 70's. A classy move for some underappreciated (especially Thomas) work. After all, without Roy Thomas keeping the JSA alive in the 80's through All-Star Squadron and Infinity, Inc. would we have a JSA book today?

I agree....no Lee on LOSH for me. Wizard also named George Perez as one of the possibilities. He'd be my favorite choice but I'm not sure if he's up for the regiment of a monthly book again. He's the most logical choice if a new series spins out of Legion of 3 Worlds: Final Crisis.

Pretty sure Perez couldn't do a monthly. I would like to see Paul Smith or Keven McGuire. Someone who can draw teenagers.

^ Perez did recently come off a year's worth of "Brave and the Bold" so he can do a monthly if he really wanted too...I just don't think he'd be in for the long haul of several years on a book.

I'd like to see Lee Draw the Book myself,.. Just picturing His take on ComicGirl, DuoDamsel & DawnStar might sell the book for me.

Besides,.. when he drew X-men,.. or even his Take on Robin,.. he doesn't "steriod" them out,.. I think he keep his balance rather Well,.. & if he Had a Good Writer,.. it will probably be worth While imo.

If Not him, or Perez,.. another Artist I really like in the dc Universe these days is Reis... in The Thungarian War books he drew,.. Space & Aliens just seem as if they came off real Natural to him. He's done some Nice GL Crap too. imo
