    Steve Roger's occupation?

What was Steve (Capt. America) Roger's civilian occupation in the '70s?
    (In circa '73-'78, Mego era.)

I seem to remember a story where he was a policeman, and or course in the late '70s-early '80s he was a freelance illustrator.

I'm wondering about designing an alter-ego figure.

I believe that after he was revived his occupations were police officer, teacher, and freelance illustrator. After that I think he was just pretty much "Captain America", especially when he revealed his ID.

        Ouch.

And Cap's death is just another reason why current comics don't get my $$$.

in the 70's he had many "short term" jobs ala david banner in the hulk show when Falcon and cap did the eay rider thing

the freelance artist is probably the longest job and goes back to his origin as a frail kid so drawing was probably a common escape for him. Don't forget there is always Army captain

I started reading Cap in the late '70's through the John Byrne election issue... the only occupation I remember was the illustrator.

Wasn't he an agent of SHIELD? I always saw him kickin' ***** as Cap than as a civilian...
