Batman: The Brave and the Bold Debuts November 14th
I just saw the Previews for this.
Man does it look out of sight !
The Look of Batman is so Flipp'in cool,.. Plasticman & Aquaman look great as well. Looking forward to these.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
Am I the first to see this? Heee heee..... If you haven't seen it yet; stop reading:
....still here?
Okay; it wasn't too bad. The first episdoe seemed like a more serious Adam West kind of Batman. Which I find funny, considering the discussion we'd had a little while back about the "real" Batman. SOMEONE is looking back to the old days. We even get a taste of "Batman: Space Cop" in this one! (Can a horde of alien GoGo dancers be far behind?) So if this takes off, when the kids watching it grow up (in 10 to 15 years) maybe they'll bring THIS one back as a series of big budget movies. Everything old is new again. And again. And again....
I don't get the new Beetle, but I haven't read a DC book for over 10 years so I'm betting he's the current version. Kanjar-Ro has apparently been eating his Wheaties! The only REALLY jarring thing is that there's about three plots going on. It jumps around pretty quick.
Oh; and the guy doing Clock King is the guy who does the voice of the fish on "American Dad." THAT was kinda distracting too.
I really enjoyed it, it's light hearted and my kids dug it. That is new Blue Beetle, BTW which confuses me considering their using silver age versions of everybody but him.

Had real fun watching it...love the more light-hearted Bats for a change after decades of the brooding version throughout all of the various animated incarnations. I didn't mind Beetle and Kajar Ro but I would've loved to see more of the teaser with Green Arrow and Clock King.
Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!
A lot of fun...which is refreshing. Batman wasn't really too far off the early 70s Batman in attitude. Not quite the "square" Silver Age Batman, although he looks just like him. Love the Dick Sprang/George Barris mash-up Batmobile design.
Not a big fan of the new Beetle, but he was handled wel here. I wouldn't call the animation anime, although there are some influences. I thought Bader's Batman voice worked well with the lighter tone.
The wildest thing was, this really felt like an old Brave and Bold comic. Bob Haney could have written this. Well, he would have thrown in Bruce adopting Beetle at the end, and Kanjar Ro would have been revealed to be Batman's long-lost older brother, but besides that, right on.
Great 1st Show.
Had some serious OldSchool Appeal,.. with a Twist of New.
I loved the interaction with Green Arrow.
But Disliked the Old School look Of the Arrow,.. Always Have.
The Clock King was a Fantastic Choice imo for the 1st Super hero.
Loved the Batrang that came of of Batman's Emblem.
Best part for ME ?
The Debate of Who would Win ,.. Batman vs Superman.
That was great,.. & Reminded me of the Fourm here. lol.

Touch of classic with a touch of new!
I thought it was awesome!
Moved quickly! action packed! bright colors! easy story!
AND, my kids (ages 5 and 2) sat thru and watched the whole thing!
LOVED IT!
can't wait for figures!
I liked it. I didn't think it was a great episode but like most I liked the teaser with Green Arrow better than the main story. I didn't like the sword from the belt and how Batman was able to fly into space. I liked the animation. The opening theme music could have been a little bouncier.
Oh, and Dan Didio cancelled Blue Beetle this week.
