    Supes Questions.

A couple of questions for you Comic professionals to help me out with. Should be a snap for the long time DC fans. (I don't really follow the comics that hard so maybe this has come up before.)

    1. Are there any versions of Supes with facial hair?? Perhaps a beard or a moustache? Maybe a well kept Goatee? We have seen him with various hair do's, but I don't recall any real growth.

    2. What would happen if you used some Kryptonite loaded bullets on the guy?? It must have been tried by somebody. How did it turn out?

    Any opinions are welcome.

the byrne era superman (86 on) often has stuble and he has a beard in an early 80's future story (looking like a disheveled old man in front of the fortress of solitude) but I can't recall the issue #

I know that bullet schtick was used in the Lois & clarck show and I can tell you in the early 70's Luthor tricked Supes into eating ktyptonite and it "poisoned him" so I suspect a Kyptonite bullet would penetrate his superskin

Wasn't Supes shot with a Kryptonite bullet that Batman had to remove while they were being buried alive by Metallo? Then Clark recovered in the Batcave with Alfred's help. I'm thinking this was in a Batman/Superman story at the beginning of the series?

          ScottA is correct.

Yes, Metallo shot Superman in the chest with a Kryptonite bullet. It remained in his chest and continued to weaken him as he slowly was dying. Batman, trapped underground with him was able to remove most of the fragments with his Bat tweezers and a flashlight. It took him several hours to recoup, but he managed with Alfred's assistance.

I've always thought about someone weaponizing kryptonite and converting the compound into a gas at maybe 100 ppm. If he inhaled that stuff, especially through the nostrils, it goes directly into the bloodstream and into the heart. The effects might not even be that noticeable till it was too late.

Kingdom Come number 1 had a long haired bearded Supes, till he made his return.

Also, Batman has a chunk o' kryptonite that I'm sure he has fashioned into a failsafe weapon.

Supes grew a mustache as "Jordan Elliot" in Alan Moore's "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorow"...

Kryptonite in Gaseous form, that is just plain cruel, man. Thanks guys I suspected someone had done it but couldn't remember seeing any bearded Supies.

I think Luthor used this one in one of them 60's "*GASP!* Superman is..... DEAD!!!" alternate reality comics. So presumably it would work.
