What's the cheapest amount you've paid for a comic book?

I don't know if I've asked this on the old board, (but I just went thru all this comic book pages on this one and it's not there), but when you first started buying comics for yourself, what did you pay?

I didn't buy many, as other people bought them for me, but I think it was a quarter. How about you?

I remember buying comics for twenty cents around 1973/1974. I wish I still had those issues.

When I actually started paying for them myself they were 25/30 cents...or I could get coverless ones (a couple of months old) at the corner store for 10 cents each. And then there were the 3-packs for 99 cents.

30 or 35 cents. Can't remember which. I use to get the old Star Wars comics when Marvel had them. Wish I had kept those.

I used to buy them for .25 back in the 70's. My best "purchase" was when I scored the 1970's Alice Cooper comic for free when the comic shop gave it to me. I was expecting to pay for it and they said, "You can have it." This was around 1992. I guess it wasn't worth much to them but as a fan of The Coop, it's priceless to me.

I believe they were $.30 or $.35 when my Mom first bought them for me. I also bought quite a few of the DC Dollar Comics back then. By the time I was buying them for myself, they were at least $.50 if not $.60.

I started around '72, so they just went to 20cents. Nicest bunch was one of my Dad's girlfriends (after the divorce..) gave me a big box of comics/'60s Mad magazines from her son. They included some of those great GL/GA Neal Adams comics for free, all pretty good condition, again back around '74.

I liked super heroes when comics were still 25¢ (maybe even 20) but I didn't buy comics then.
I got on board comic books when they were 30¢.
They went to 35 soon after.
