Shazam/Captain Marvel Petition!

I mentioned that this actor, Brandon Morale, looked like the living embodiment of Captain Marvel/ Shazam like a year ago and really thought he should be cast as the super-hero in any upcoming production of Shazam! Well it seems great minds think alike!

There is a petition on this guys My space page to get him cast. Admittedly I have not seen this guy act but if you can track the films he has been in, mostly supporting roles, and evaluate his performances, perhaps you would like to sign the petition to help him get cast. I don't know if he wants to play Captain Marvel but this guy looks like an Alex Ross/C.C. Beck piece of art come to life. If he has the acting chops and he gets a good script & good director we could have a winning film here!

I think this dude's biggest movie to date is Dodgeball. He's been going around to comic conventions and making apperances wearing Shazam t-shirts and attempting to mingle with influential people who could get him the role. He definitely is after it, but I think we'll see an unknown like a Brandon Routh type. I would like nothing more than to see this movie made, but I think casting Morale or even the Rock would be an error.

Wasn't he the one that played the football player in MR Deeds?? The one Sandler beats up and then the father beats with a strap?? He was funny in that scene. Doesn't mean he would make a good Shaz, unless he was being beat up by someone. Then he'd probably be good for the part. The Rock might make a good Black Adam but wouldn't he rather be a good guy?

Don't know the Brandon guy. Rocky there would be able to pull off the humor of the character for sure. Warburton would be my first choice, he's got the squint and can do the immature child bit for sure.

Honestly He may somewhat look the part....but he is really a no name. This isn't like your selling Superman he's iconic and an unknown works best with him. Cap can have a name attached to the part. Since really many people might not know him. Warburton would have been great since Cap has humor wrapped in his classic story line.

I can't see the point in casting anyone just because they look like the character - they have to be able to act, as well. If Brandon Molale can act, then sure, let him play Captain Marvel, but looks alone don't cut it.
