    Riami/Maguire signed for Spider-Man 4 and 5

Topless Robot - Sam Raimi And Tobey Maguire Still Spider-Buddies

No Kristen Dunst as of yet, I'm not upset about that personally. I just want them to be better than #3 which made me want to walk out.

Dunst was okay in the first one, passable in the second one, and seemed totally asleep in the third one. Plus, they've made MJ a self-centered, miserable character, and she didn't have an alien symbiote to blame. I wouldn't mind them taking her character off-screen and giving her screen time to Bryce Dallas Howard's Gwen Stacy.

I hope Raimi gets to do HIS Spider-Man movie this time. The studio supposedly forced the Venom/Black Spidey story arc on him. If it had been all Sandman, it would have been a much better movie.

Bring on the Lizard! Have Kraven be a reality TV star and come to New York to hunt him. Spidey has to keep Kraven off of Doc Connors long enough to cure him. There's your plot, now go!

Wow, I guess I was one of few people who really liked Spidey 3.

The Lizard is an obvious choice since I'm pretty sure Doctor Connors was seen in all 3 Spidey movies.

I think the Scorpion would be a great choice of villains which would tie in nicely with JJJ since he is partially responsible for the villain. Rhino and Electro are a couple of other top choices for me.

Wow, I guess I was one of few people who really liked Spidey 3.
I liked parts of 3, but it just smacks of corporate tampering, like Schumacher's Batman and Robin: "We need Batgirl! We need new vehciles! We need costume variations!". Raimi said early on he was only interested in the Lee/Ditko/Romita era, and didn't want to do Venom, but he was "talked into it". The whole thing is way too crammed, Venom and Sandman's team-up is just thrown in there with no good reasoning, and that jazz club scene with "dark" Peter is just embarrassing. I liked their treatment of Sandman, EXCEPT for the awful retcon of him being Uncle Ben's (accidental) killer. It takes away Spidey's whole "great responsibility" motivation, since the guy he let go didn't kill Uncle Ben. I can't believe Rami did that one at all. But he did.

I hope they never mention any of 3 (except for Gwen) and just move on more or less as if it never happened.

I'd be down for more Gwen Stacy...movie Mary Jane just plain sucks...that's not the real MJ. More JJJ, more Aunt May...but puh-lease, no more MJ.

I'd much rather see a JJJ spin-off movie than a Venom spin-off film. Simmons is PERFECT as JJJ. I love that guy! And Gwen is purty. Me likey.

Am I the only one who was secretly hoping that the leading cast would be replaced after 3?

I was never convinced by Maguire or Dunst. Maguire often seems to be sleepwalking through the movie, and Dunst just doesn't have that "fire" that MJ needs.

Of the three movies, only part 2 had me hooked....

I like Maguire as Spidey. He did seem like he kind of phoned-in #3, but maybe he could tell it was off too.

that storyline would work for me. the problem with 3 was there was too much going on and eric from that 70's show was eddie brock/venom i think that was bad casting David Boreanaz looks more the part imo

While I like Maguire...His whinney voice does Bug Me. When They were casting the first one...it was rumored that Rami wanted Wes Bently(American Beauty) for Spidey...but the Sudio insisted on Maguire. I think Wes would have been the better choice...but it's history now.

And Dunst isn't My ideal pick for MJ either.

That's sounds good to me! I'm glad they're moving forward with new movies. Hopefully they'll get back on track. If Dunst left it wouldn't bother me a bit.....I never saw her as MJ anyway....
