the more money they make , the more undead he will become. who cares about catwomen, bring in killer croc, clayface...lord there's tons others.
If they get Nolan back (and they'd better!), then I think Harvey is indeed dead for good. I can't see him compromising his vision like that for a buck. He's made tons already off of DK. As for Croc...maybe. If they handle Croc as he was originally intended, a "freak" with a rare skin disorder who is also nuts and near-super-humanly strong, I think he could work. Clayface is a bit too out there for Nolan's grounded Bat-world, I think.

That movie made a lot of money, but I don't think Two-Face had that much to do with it. If Heath was still with us it'd be a different story perhaps.

Agreed. And Joker's line about "destined to do this dance again and again (paraphrasing)" made it all that more heartbreaking. I think he would have been back.

I don't understand why so many Film Makers, make the same mistake in Comic Book Movies...of killing off the great Villans? I mean really...don't they research the Comics....the Villans ALWAYS come back!??

The Basil Karlo Clayface would work in Nolan land. He actually might make for a good Joker surrogate.

It seems to me the movie was pretty clear he was dead.....Is it just everyones hope for a return that clouds the issue, or did I miss something?

^^^ When Bats and Gordon were there talking about the situation with Harvey laying on the ground, it sure looked like he was still breathing.

...............Interesting. So your thinking it may have been one of those TrekII "Remember" moments...a clue that all wasnt as it seemed. I'll have to pay more attention when I see this next.

Keep in mind, while Harvey may be dead for all intended purposes according to Nolan and Eckhardt, in the Dark Knight, no one ever came out and openly said Harvey's dead. So I believe anything's possible. It's really ashamed. Two Face was a great villain in this movie and I hate film directors killing off the villains.
                          Cheers.

Add that to the fact that Batman survived the fall (after all, Batman tackled Harvey and forced him out the window), and that a fall like that usually doesn't kill folks in movies, or comics.

I suppose Batman had all his armor on, and Harvey could have hit just right to snap his neck or something.

After Gordon and Batman concocted Gordon's "death" earlier in the movie, spriting an alive Harvey away to cover for his Two-Face deeds didn't seem too much of a stretch.

I couldn't really tell either way the first time I saw it. The second time I just kind of accepted he was dead.

I understand why they did it. It made the Joker an even more despicable villain because he suceeded. It also made Gordon and Batman more responsible for Harvey's downfall.

Too bad we probably won't see him again in this incarnation. Eckhart turned in a great performance.
