    Absolute Batman: Hush

I just picked this up at Borders. I went with the deluxe version simply becasue they didn't have the regular volume 2. Plus, this is larger sized and has some extra goodies. Based on hype and recommendations here, I decided it would be a worthy investment. This will take a few days to digest, so it's money well spent. And, it's Jim Lee. I love his take on Superman, and I understand he makes an appearance or two. Anyone else have this version?

    My trade paperback quest continues...

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Great art, so-so story that was apparently neutered by a leak on the net, and was re-written to accomodate that.

Oh yeah. I finished it tonight. I am now officially back on the Jim Lee bandwagon. I'd always liked his stuff, but was never enthralled in any way. Back in the day I preferred SIlvestri's X-men. Seeing Jim and his personal vision of Batman and the regular cast of characters is breathtaking in it's detail and stunning in execution.

THe story itself was pretty good. I had it pegged after a few chapters who HUsh was. But the pacing of the story was more clever than not and the dialog was appropriately done. I like Loeb's words better on the Superman/batman series with McGuiness, but that's personal taste.

This deluxe version is so well put together and is a great investment. It's something I'll read many times over and go back and look at Lee's attention to detail and unique layouts. Since I dig Jim Lee again and I'm such a Superman fan, I guess I need to check out the For Tomorrow trades. However, I've heard mixed reviews on that front...

Yeah,... I dunno Bro,.. for the art the Superman Run is great,... however I was not a fan of the Story.

I'd skip the Jim Lee Superman run....in fact I did, right after the lackluster first issue. Of course, that lies in the fault of the writer and not actually Jim Lee.
