Anyone know if MonkeyHeads posts here?

    hxxp://www.toymania.com/custom/Galleries/MonkeyHeads/monkeyheads.htm

This person's customs are amazing but it seems like the site hasn't been updated for a while. Anyone know anything about the artist or if they go by a different name now or have a new website? I'd hate to find out they are no longer doing customs.

I don't know about the Raving Toy Mania galleries anymore. I have one for my customs there, and they still have my old email address posted. I've requested that they change it numerous times, but still nothing. I've asked them to add a few customs, since my more recent ones are all Megos, and they haven't done that either. I don't know if Casmir, the guy who used to handle them, left or what. Bobbi is one of the mods there and said she'd take care of changes for me.
I would look for this guy in 12" customs forums, because Supergirl and Batgirl look like Cygirl customs.
Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

He used to do Mego and FC customs too. I think there was some history with him here.

His work is fantastic; his reputation is not. Several years ago he was caught trying to pass off reproduction suits as real. You can probably track him down through Ebay. I haven't heard of anyone having any bad experiences with him since, but the whole situation way back when was pretty hurtful. One of his victims was a member here who was legally blind, who has since passed away. JM never did come clean or make amends to my knowledge.

^^^ Yeah, that's what the history was. I thought it was something fishy like that.

ah yes the infamous silkscreen suit fiasco!! We rehash this about twice a year . . .lol!
They were supposedly found in a patent office file or something like that.
. . . . this was looooooong before Austin or Ed were printing suits.
I think most people just scratched their heads and thought why didn't he just sell these in sets instead of passing one set off as "originals". I have a pic of them at home and it has been posted here numerous times.

Yeah. The patent office scenario is bizarre, but he sold Mike H. a circle suit and tried to pass it off as real too. So crappy a thing to do in so many ways. That's the one that really bugs me. I've actually traded emails with him a couple of times since then, and I think he's content to pretend it never happened. With Mike being gone, it would be awful hard for him to make it right. It's too bad. I always liked him until all that went down.

Thanks for the name. It's too bad about the fishy situation but doing a search on google for something more recent by him led me to an interview at:
                      hxxp://www.mwctoys.com/FEATURE_092000.html

Jonathan - Steal unashamedly from other customizers! And my wife HATES going to ANY store with me now. No matter what, I usually find some odd thing or clothing item to buy because it would
be perfect for some custom I've got in mind.
This is taken out of context to be sure, but a dubious statement given the other situation.

Thanks again for the info, gang. I knew if anyone would know it would be this forum.

I had great dealings with both guys. Mike was one of the first people I met online and Jonathan was a great customizer. I had no idea this all went down.
