Well, very few know the embarrasing story why this figure was delayed and I think I want to keep it that way.
This has been my hardest female to make!
The odds were against me! I had a bunch of CTVT's female bodies that were literally given to me because they were all dis-portioned and busted to ****. I really can't tell you how nice it will to have Dr. Mego finally reveal his new female body in late September.
I had to design these boots for Mystique to correct the busted and snapped joints in her feet. The boots are hand scupted by me. There was nothing I could do about that! These hand sculpted boots literally fixed the foot problem and gave her balance!
So after I fixed the body I painted it blue and sealed it with the classic PLAID clear acyrlic sealer to keep her from chipping.
Then, I stripped the paint off a Famous Cover's Jean Grey head, revealing the nice blue base underneath to build a new face over it, creating the Mystique head.
I designed the white dress out of white spandex like material giving it a gloss finish with fabric paint. Of course, that skull belt added the final dimension courtesy of my pal and mego museum member, Spiderrogue.
I wanted to make this character look right. I felt the movie made her look like a giant blue fish with blue scales. It ruined the character and I wanted to show people how she should have looked.
This is what I got done so far.
