    Legion of Super-Heroes Tyr

A bad guy from the 30th century with an odd toy history, Tyr. He only had a handful of appearances in the Legion of Super-Heroes comics (most of them a couple pages or just panels)before somehow winding up in the Super Powers line. I decided on his pre-Super Powers look (the arm got a major re-do to give him his action feature there), but even then, in his sparse appearances, there’s a lot variation in his look, not just from issue to issue, but, in one case, from one page to the next in one issue. So I went with what parts and pieces seemed to go together best. Uses the arm and legs from a Human Torch from the French carded Mego figures (I was smart and stocked up on a lot of those figures when they popped up at Lionel Playworld in the 80’s). His head is re-sculpted from a Heroes of the Ice noggin, and the gun hand is a wooden bead combined with a wire, some rolled paper, some tape and glue stick, then paint and gold lame. The gun hand is removable.

He looks great. I especially like the gold lame work.

This is amazing! I love how you embrace the absurdity of these characters, and just build them "comic accurate"... and the end result is always crazy good.

Nice figure. I remember those characters from the 70's when I was a kid. Great job with the figure.
