Hello Everyone.
I wasn't sure where to post this, so I hope customs is appropriate. It seemed the best fit.
I just wanted to share a wee success story. Maybe it'll help someone else?
I got an Amigo several years ago...at a tag sale no less. Long story short, I saw him in a bag and assumed he was an Action Jackson. It wasn't until later that I realized he was an Amigo figure missing his legs. He did have his suit, belt, and boots, though.
About a month and a half ago, I noticed an auction for two identical vintage figures that looked to be Mego knockoffs. Folks here later helped me by identifying the figures as Soldier Mike. The legs on Soldier Mike looked like they would fit my Amigo.
1. Here are the Soldier Mike figures, with one leg removed:
2. My legless Amigo, beside a complete Amigo that I got much later on.
3. Yay! The legs fit perfectly...and even better is that they're more articulated than the original Amigo legs.
4. Here are the two Amigos, happy and complete. The one with replacement legs is on the left. There isn't really as much difference in height as the photo shows.
Thanks for looking!
