New Sports Action Jackson outfits?!

Dollar Tree is selling new 2022 Greenbrier International Fashion Doll Poupee Mode that focus on sports theme.

For the most part the outfits fit Mego figures. The women's bathing suits do not fit on the 8 inch figure but everything else does. The tennis outfit is just a mess and looks baggy on the 8 inch Mego. So lets start this up:
Lifeguard: The Lifeguard is the best out of what I was able to find. It fits like the old Action Jackson outfits do and I cannot see them fitting Barbie size figures, Just need to have printed up the lifegurad symbol.

Soccer/Football

Next up is the second-best outfit. I decided to try the Soccer outfit on a male Mego and it fits better. With the World Cup going on this worked out better than I figured it would.

Woman's Suba outfit

Now onto the female Mego set. Since the Scuba set comes with a women's bathing suit I tried it on one of my extras. The swim suit will not fit so if your getting this for Mego just pitch it. The straps are made of thin rubber so measure it on the figure, mark it and then take it off to glue it in place. Those straps to the air tanks will keep sliding out. I went with the AJ Scuba Outfit to show (need to reorder another swim suit).

Woman beachcomber

Now we are working our way down to the outfits that I would just pass on. First up is the beach outfit, again the swimsuit does not fit but if you cut in where the seam is you can turn it into a beach dress. The flip-flops just do not like to stay on unless you glue them so I when with the white tennis shoes from the soccer outfit.

Women's Tennis

This outfit just does not fit at all, it was made for a taller doll. The shoes fit Mego and not Barbie and I cannot get her to hold the racket.

Scuba Lifeguard

Now to make this you have to combine two packages so it will cost you $2.50. This uses the NuMego Greg Brady. I have the straps on the second notch not leaving much room. I do not think this will fit the s-type body without some modifications.

These look so good it's a shame Topps didn't go with the Sports Mego. Right now, the Soccer/Football could sell well.

Great post! The white tennis shoes are also the perfect size for Hasbro's Charlie's Angels doll's feet. I need to get that soccer outfit just for those knee socks!

I soaked my vintage dirty Big Jim socks in small container of water and added a few drops of bleach, and they turned out nice and white, but, yes, getting those dollar tree socks would be a cheaper alternative.

There is one more Summer Sports outfit: a baseball outfit.

I tried it on a Charlie's Angels Hasbro doll, a Big Jim, and a Mego big belly Norm.

The uniform is a little baggy on Sabrina, and the legs are a bit too long...but I think I can remedy this if a cut about an inch off the leg length, and also put a ponytail rubber band around her waist to tighten up the waist line. The hat and the shoes fit, but her hand does not go all the way into the glove.

The uniform is very snug on Big Jim but it fits and the pant length is right. The hat is too big, and his hand is too big to fit inside the glove. The shoes are too small so I used a pair of Big Jims.

The uniform looks good on Norm, but the pants are way too long. Will have to cut off some of the length. Hat is too big, and shoes are too small, but the glove fits!

I bought one but it was left in the car. I did try it on a mego and your right it is too baggy. I am still waiting for my local Dollar Tree redo there toy isle but next week I have to go back to Houston so I will look there,

I am going to buy more of the Lifeguard outfits to work on my "First Responder" team of Beach Lifeguards or Baywatch.

More Undercover fun! Here's the Angels wearing the beach themed outfits. I must admit opening up all these outfits and putting them on the dolls feels a little bit like Christmas day! LOL
I remember getting these cheap, knock off-type outfits for my GI Joes when I was young. The fabric they used on these Dollar Tree outfits is nice for the price. It has a stretchy feels to it, and I was actually able to get the scuba tank to stay strapped on to Sabrina!! I could totally picture these as a Sears exclusives in their Christmas Wish Book catalog circa 1977.
