    Man-Bat 2.0

I wasn't crazy over how they made Man-Bat on a bulky Hulk body with weird drawn-on muscles, so I ordered the head and wings and used a Wolfman body. I think he better resembles the old Power Records version now.

    Thanks for looking

    This is terrific!

I wondered about something similar but was thinking of a furry shirt--how did you attach the wings?

Also, I think my first comics exposure to the character was in DC Comics Presents #35 with Superman, where Man-Bat wears green trousers. So you hit that, too.

I think your version is a big improvement.

Oh yeah your version is much better, I don't really subscribe to the 100% jumpsuit approach Eg. Tarzan.

I don't think the drawn on jumpsuit approach is bad per se, rather that black outlines alone is too simplistic. Like even a two or three color layer approach like Lego minifigures use could add some cell shading like depth. Or that Mego Creature from the Black Lagoon, man that is a great jumpsuit.

I have a very similar plan for him, just haven't got there. It looks way better than what FTC did.

Yep, that's definitely a Neal Adams, Bronze Age Man-Bat right there. As much as I love BTAS (and of couse I do) they began the monstrous proportions for the character, and now EVERYONE interprets him that way.

Captures the original version much better this way. Clever use of the body, and, yes, I am VERY tempted to homage this idea (it's not a rip-off, it's an homage...).

Awesome! I picked up a Wolfman on clearance to do exactly the same thing but haven't gotten around to it yet. Glad to see it works so well -- great job!

Fantastic! I have a Wolfman sitting here for the same purpose.

As someone else asked... how did you attach the wings?

I cut them off the sweater, then super-glued them to the shoulders and forearms only. This allows the elbows to bend. It doesn't look weird from behind either as the wings overlap one another.

I appreciate all the kind comments folks.
