ReMego Svengoolie presents The Beast From 20,000 Fathom: New Year's edition

This Saturday Night is not only New Year's 2022 but on MeTV Svengoolie presents The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms:

As a result of an arctic nuclear test, a carnivorous dinosaur thaws out and starts making its way down the east coast of North America. Professor Tom Nesbitt, only witness to the beast's existence, is not believed, even when he identifies it as a "rhedosaurus" to paleontologist Thurgood Elson. All doubts disappear, however, when Elson is swallowed whole during an oceanic bathysphere excursion to search for the creature. Soon thereafter the rhedosaurus emerges from the sea and lays waste to Manhattan Island until Nesbitt comes up with a plan to try to stop the seemingly indestructible beast. (imdb)

Always fun to see how you're gonna pull off the more challenging ones! The photo cutout (I assume) in the two movie pics is such a "playset" thing to do! I kind of want one now!

I was wondering if you found a monster figure. Good solution. Maybe I'll get one done by the rerun time

I took a screen capture of the Rhedosaurus and enlargered it to fit. Since there are more movies that have scenes that take place in snow I took one of the shelves and turned int into one. Those iceburgs are from Bandai Zak Storm Sino Island Playset.

One of my favorites from the sci-if 50’s vault, I remember seeing the Rhedosaurus model selling on ebay a little while back, or the person just created it for a custom project? they had the amusement park roller coaster background, I do remember it was something like $500.00 at the time.

Thanks for the details! I had originally asked in my post, but I went way off into left field and wrote a wall of text about making playsets. This thread is about your cool dioramas, so I edited before posting.

(Well, maybe just one off topic comment: Those ice cave bits might be fun for display with Comic Action Superman!)
