Sculpted the head hands and feet, shell and all armor plates are cut from and EVA foam yoga block. I took some liberties with the design, based his shell color of the Japanese Pond turtle and got rid of the teeth and tusks. They always bothered me as a turtle keeper.

Love it, but I do miss the tusks that’s Gamera, but yes..I also enjoy this look too, technically more accurate, instead of eating you, he’ll just gum you to death. But really he has nooooo chance against Godzilla he will make him into turtle soup.

I have the original Japanese version of Gamera the Invincible, the only movie where he plays a bad guy. I liked this version of him better, instead of being a children’s hero, those movies were pretty silly.

As I was doing the arms the samurai vibe hit me that I was going in that direction. Glad someone else saw it.

yet another super cool kaiju. I gotta admit to missing the teeth as well. i have always thought they were a bit odd, but they are part of the character in my head.
