Svengoolie "Mysterious Island of Beautiful Woman

ReMego Svengoolie Mysterious Island of Beautiful Girls.jpgMysterious Island of Beautiful Women (1979) 01.jpg

I was inspired by tonight's episode of Svengoolie that I had to do a small display for the movie Mysterious Island of Beautiful Women.

The women are Mego Peggy Bundy & Piper Halliwell using square they sell at Wal-Mart for under $1.

Ok I have some time know to explain. Since I have some extra female bodies floating around wanted to use them for quick custom jobs. Today I had to pick up my nephew for the weekend and had to leave early this morning so I was up at 6am and when posting on twitter about upcoming comic book/sci-fi shows the idea popped in my head. So I used strips of those "fat quarter" material at Wal-Mart they sale for under $1 each. I just used fabric glue and put them together. Since I switched out Al Buddy for a Lt. Leslie I just put Sulu head on Bundy for something down the road. Then looking at the VHS cover I was like why not. Throw Svengoolie with both male hands tied behind there back and add in the paper from Hobby Lobby and a Palm Tree on a Island from one of those animal sets and in under 20 minutes I had a display ready to take a pic for tonight.

Got back home in time before 6pm to watch MeTV Wonder Woman and in time to post the pic. So that the story a quick 20 minute custom job for a pic to post during Svengoolie for costumes I just wasn't going to keep on the figures. Silly and fun.

Fun stuff! I was in and out of the room with the movie on last night. Surprisingly interesting premise, that doesn't go where you'd expect (of course it was a TV-movie, so they had to keep it pretty chaste, I guess). But poor Clint Walker is so tall his head is cut off on the VHS cover!
