Showed these to a friend and he said, "I really like these simple shapes and lines! Are the costumes (other than cloth ones) made from folded styrene sheets? So dimensionally flat. In a good way!" I'm rather curious, too, specifically about the material(s) used for some of the belts and seemingly all of the armor. Do tell?

Thank you for your interest and for making the original pictures larger... Yes, armors are made using "foamies" craft sheets available in pretty much all colors you can imagine. This material is so easy to cut, shape and glue; and can be found at most school or craft supply stores. Furthermore is cheap & fun.
Thank you Art! Yes, that's the look I wanted to achieve in this "Knock Off Series". Renditions from the Star Wars comic book. I have a "Deluxe Series" in the works... Hopefully I'll find time to complete it one of these days...
I appreciate very much all compliments particularly when these come from talented customizers like yourself.
Very nice job! I love the use of craft foam for the armor, it's something I've experimented too and it's amazing how versatile it is. Chewie looks especially good!
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix
I love them all but Chewbacca looks factory produced. I want details on Chewy.....what head and bandolier? How'd you make him taller?
Great job!!
I was on a local comic show on saw a Chewbacca head that would also work great with the Mego (or Matchbox FXX) 9" body. Its in a a Disney Store exclusive bobblehead and the box states: "With Sounds"... Here's a pic of a loose one:
