Merry Christmas all!
Or should I say "Joyeux Noel".
This is a continuation of my line of "Santas from around the world", which I posted last year.

This year, the figure I have done is France's version of the winter giver, Pere Noel.

Although these days, Pere Noel just looks like regular Santa Claus, back in the 1700s and 1800s, he would often be depicted riding on a donkey, or in the mountainous regions, on skis. He would often be shown wearing a wicker basket on his back to hold toys.
The head is the same sculpt I used for my other figures. The robe was sewn by me, and the royal blue fleur de lis tunic fabric was chosen to reinforce the French lineage. The skis are AJ skis, and the boots are from Conan. I try to do a different paint job on each head, so this one has more brown undertones.

I hope you enjoy!
And Merry Christmas!
