Hi, Everyone.
This figure was finished in late August, but I haven't had a chance to post her. I hope you enjoy; I made two in the hope of giving one as a gift.
I found pretty nice 6" well articulated action figure bodies...they remind me of Zica bodies. They come with four pairs of differently-posed hands and are super poseable. I sculpted the head and styled the hair in true "messy" Newt style.
I know what you're thinking: She isn't filthy; her clothes are too clean. LOL! Well...I debated about this quite a bit. Then I thought: Since I live in Denial, where it's always sunny and Saturday, the end of Aliens has Newt, Ripley, Hicks, and Bishop living happily ever after. So....I opted for a "happy Newt" rather than a terrified, traumatized Newt, a la NECA 's version of Newt.
Figures carded, front:

Figures carded, back:

Identical molds; a bit of difference due to my hand painting and hair styling:

She has accessories: her doll head, helmet, and multiple sets of hands.

Here she is with her doll head:

and helmet. She is poseable enough to properly salute (as she does in the movie), with other hand behind her back:

Hand swaps are easy on these bodies: just pull 'em out. No need to heat the forearms. Here Newt deals with those pesky Aliens:

The body is a good scale; she is child-sized compared to an 8" Mego. I'm currently working on an Ellen Ripley custom, but her head isn't done yet. So, here is my Tank Sullivan (James Garner's character from Space Cowboys) custom next to Newt to show scale. Newt seems a bit mistrustful of strangers.

Thanks for looking!
