Archangel is hands down my favorite mutant and among the top ten customs I knew I wanted to make when I started customizing. Initially, I thought he would be a very daunting custom to complete as his key components - head, costume and wings - have to be done right.
I found his head cast on eBay in the Fall of 2014 and I got his costume from the magnificent Austin Hough at the 2015 Mego Meet which left me with having to figure out how to get his wings right. So, in the time between Mego Meet 2015 and Mego Meet 2016 I had figured on using craft foam but, I was apprehensive about going forward with that plan and I am glad that I held off. While chatting with Austin at MM16 I brought up where I was with Archangel and what I was thinking of doing for his wings, that is when he pointed me in the direction of using the wings from a Marvel Legends Archangel. That night I found a loose ML Archangel on eBay and ordered it.
Finally, my Archangel is complete! A major shout-out to Austin for being so instrumental in his build.
I love Jubilee and I love how Bronxboykev made her. So much so that I was inspired to make one myself and let her get some face time with my Archangel.
Thank you Bronxboykev.
ARCHANGEL:
HEAD - eBay cast with my paints.
BODY - Doc Swivel Bicep, my paints on hands and forearms.
BODYSUIT - Austin suit, sewn by my wife Cindy.
WINGS - Marvel Legends Archangel figure
JUBILEE:
GLASSES - LaserMego
EVERYTHING ELSE - CTVT
As always I think you all for stopping by and giving them a look.
Enjoy!
John
