Ant-Man, Wasp & Yellowjacket plus Taskmaster (2.0) - Pic Heavy

I was 8 years old when I spent my allowance on my first Avengers comic, issue #195: Assault on a Mind Cage, and it quickly made me a fan of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. I loved the story of Yellowjacket and Ant-Man infiltrating the Solomon Institute to find out what happened to Wasp while the rest of the Avengers were waiting outside. All seems to be going hunky dory as Hank and Scott help Janet rescue Selbe until the Institute's head honcho shows up, the cameo intro of one of my favorite Marvel villains...Taskmaster!

So, I have been wanting to make a custom figure tribute to this issue for quite some time and over the last year I have been acquiring the parts to build the figures. I knew it was going to be difficult as this version of Wasp either hasn't been done or has been but not posted anywhere. I absolutely love the costume George Perez' designed for her and spent the last week working on getting her costume right.

    ANT-MAN:

HEAD - Austin cast with my paints.
BODY - Doc Swivel Bicep, I painted and sealed the hands.
    BODYSUIT - Austin
    BELT - Doc
    BOOTS - CTVT

    TASKMASTER:

HEAD - eBay cast with my paints.
BODY - Doc Swivel Bicep, I painted and sealed the hands.
BODYSUIT - Austin, sewn together by my wife.
HOLSTER BELT - My first Taskmaster custom, originally from CTVT
SWORD, SWORD BELT, BOOTS, BOW, QUIVER & CAPE - CTVT
    PISTOL - Doc
SHIELD - My first Taskmaster custom, originally from Doc

    WASP:

HEAD - CTVT with my paints to embellish the eyes.
    BODY - Mattel Cheetah
BODYSUIT - Custom tailored, sewn and trimmed by me.
    BOOTS - CTVT
BRACERS - White adhesive vinyl cut and colored by me.

    YELLOWJACKET:

HEAD - N2LM with my paints.
    BODY - Doc Swivel Bicep
BODYSUIT - Austin, sewn together by my wife with yellow vinyl belt buckle made by me.
    GLOVES & BOOTS - Doc
WINGS - Black craft foam...these were supposed to be the nice black acrylic wings I got from LaserMego at Mego Meet but, they did not survive the drive back to Michigan, sorry Paul

As always, I thank you all for stopping by and giving them a look.

    Enjoy!

    John

I love the final panel from the issue and had to try setting it up for a shot...

I absolutely love Taskmaster. That was a figure that was generally considered my best ever that I shouldn't have sold.lol

Sering this one inspires me to make another. Great job on all of these but especially taskie

Great job. I always wanted a Yellowjacket Mego when I was a kid! Cool to see one done so well, and the other figures look terrific as well.

Excellent work. Yellowjacket would have been a fantastic figure to have in the Mego line.
