This figure came easy, it just kinda fell together. The Toyroom posted an amazing box on eBay and another seller was offering a perfect head. Clicked on over to CTVT and picked up a blue suit & trench coat. Add a red tie, brown shoes, blue glove hands & socks that I already had in the parts bin. In ten minutes I had all the makings for Will Eisner's iconic, The Spirit.

Head is from eBay on a Zica type-S body
Clothes are all from CTVT
The beautiful box is from Anthony AKA The Toyroom

The head was well cast but a bit of a chore to clean up with that molded on hat. There where a lot of hard to reach areas. I was worried that I was going to break it but the material that it was cast in is slightly flexible so it was a little more durable than I expected.

CTVT's trench coat is really nice and I thought it would be a nice change of pace from the standard blue suit version of The Spirit. The coat originally had two rows of buttons which in my opinion didn't really look all that great. The superfluous buttons were easy enough to remove correcting that.

I love the character and it's creator but in all honesty I really haven't read as much as I should have over the years. It's something that I'm looking to remedy in digital form via Kindle. I think I might have started sooner but it's hard to latch on to a character when your local comic book shops only stock expensive shrink wrapped archive editions. At about a buck a story, I look forward to spending my lunch hour with The Spirit.

Another spectacular box by The Toyroom.
I love that it says, "Philadelphia Record" at the top. The Record was a real newspaper in my hometown up until the late 40's
Thanks for looking!
