I know how you feel. I was hit by a car last August. All I got out of it was a nasty scrape on my right elbow, but I was shaken up for a week, and definitely freaked out by it.
Take all the time you need, and take care of yourself.JediJaida -
glad you are ok. How's the car?You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

The banged up rib I can live with, waking up in a dripping sweat and having my body shake for a couple of hours is what's taking it's toll.Comment

I've been in two car wrecks that left me shaken and mentally ill at ease for months afterwards. I still jump whenever I see them do a wreck in a movie or TV show and it does take a while for the mind to come to terms with what transpired. Airbags went off in both my wrecks and I think they were possibly as traumatizing as the wrecks themselves. They save lives, but they create an atmosphere inside the vehicle that, if you can't get out of or at least get a window down, can easily cause serious breathing issues. I developed a nasty upper bronchial infection after the first one and a similar infection after the second. I'm okay to drive now, but I do find I'm far more cautious than I used to be. Luckily, I had this place, among many of the other sites I frequent, to help get me through it all. Stay strong, Gene. Just takes a little time...sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

Very sorry to hear about this, but at least this info is good news, I would still keep a lawyer
on the back burner just in case for added reinsurance.
a car can be replaced, but people can't, wounds will heal physically and mentally just takes
time, do what you need to do, hobbies can wait, glad to hear your okay Gene.Comment
