Great customs of great characters from my childhood! LOVE the Deeth custom, I'm working on a 1/6 scale version myself!

Those are really good. It is amazing how well you captured the details from the early 80's LJN figures! I can tell that some of the items you used are "store-bought" but I know some of the items on the figures are custom made? Any hope of a parts breakdown/ opportunity to brag on your skills? Also, did you trim the fangs off the skeleton figures or are they still on there? I would like to work on a skeleton army of my own sometime in the near future, but I'm not sure if I could remove the fangs from a CTVT skull head without messing it up. Any notes on any of these topics would be greatly appreciated!

Those are VERY cool! I was one of those old dinosaurs that use to spend an entire weekend with my friends hovering over grid paper as we mapped out each new adventure. We had one group that lasted over a year. We always had someone with great fighting skills, a wizard with great healing abilities, and for the rest of us we were scrubs getting in trouble but finding our purpose and validity along the way. Then one day our wizard got hit by a Frost Giant. Our great warrior got his butt kicked and it was up to us to figure out how to save the group. There's a reason why we were the scrubs... End of marathon run.Comment

Thank you so much guys, more to come...
Paul (Bob Hauk), a lot of the parts are "store-bought" and a lot are thrown together, sewn together, etc...
The outfits are almost all self-made/sewn, like Ringlerun and Kelek's robes, Charmay's dress and cape, Elkhorn's pants and tunic, and Deeth's armor, etc...
I did trim some of the skeleton's fangs and painted in the cavity, btw.
Kelek wasn't quite finished when I did the villains group shot. As you can also see, Elkhorn isn't completely finished too. I'm still working on Peralay/Melf also.

Really like those customs. I have a few of the original LJN monsters, none of the characters though, but I was just thinking about them because I saw a bunch at a toy show this past weekend before stumbling onto this thread.

When it comes to a customizer and a series of inter-connected themes and a unified concept I daresay this is my all time favorite here. Taking a line of characters from an 80s product and bringing them to Mego life is daunting, but you nailed every one of these. Your love of craft is obvious and your skills and vision are elite. I'd still like to see one, all inclusive picture. Bottom line, I'm a fan who loves these customs.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.Comment

BTW: I am in some sort of Harryhausen/ fantasy mood lately hence the question about the skeletons. That said, the WWE: Create a Superstar Warrior Expansion Pack has a usable Mego-size shield and Roman body armor which will work nicely on 8" figures and create a nice Greek hero with a CTV tunic. It also comes with a torch that you can use but unfortunately the head gear that comes with this set is too small for use with 8" guys. It runs about $6-$8 on the internet. Just thought you guys might want to know.
