My apologies to anyone expecting to see customs of the Blue Oyster Cult.
This is just a custom Grim Reaper that I was commissioned to make by a Sons of Anarchy fan. The client asked me to make him a version of the Grim Reaper that appears on the characters' cuts and various other Sons logos, merchandise, memorabilia, etc. But, he asked me to replace the anarchists "A" on the crystal ball with the Gadsden flag snake.
The client insisted that I build it on a CTVT skeleton body which had loose shoulder and elbow joints so, I had to weave crafter's wire around the radius and ulna where it connects to the humerus, then up around the clavicle and scapula through the ribs to where they anchored on each side so that each arm could support its accessory.
The hands of the skeleton are not capable of holding the handguard where it needed to so, crafter's was looped around it near the forward sight and then a loop was made to slip onto the thumb, allowing the rifle to be held in the desired position.
HEAD: Next2LastMohican cast/sculpt with my paints.
BODY: Partially reinforced CTVT skeleton body.
ROBE: CTVT
RIFLE/SCYTHE: Constructed using CTVT M-16 rifle and blade from CTVT scythe.
BELT: Craft twine.
CRYSTAL BALL: 1" diameter acrylic ball.
GADSDEN SNAKE & STAND: LaserMego
I thank you all for stopping by and giving him a peek.
Enjoy!
John
