Hi, Everyone.
I posted Carrie and Gary previously:
http://megomuseum.com/community/show...ND-Articulated!
The Carrie figure in the above link was done in a very Mego-like way---female head is a bit large for the body proportionally.
I decided to rework Carrie and Gary and make Carrie's head more proportioned to the body and also make Gary more to scale. I also used a Dr. Mego female body this time, whereas last time I used a Figures female body. I like elements of both, just wish I could "morph" their best features together somehow.
I think (hope?) my sculpting is improving, but my face painting skills are very inconsistent. I painted a few heads and also tweaked the sculpt as I went. The faces are very different. *shrug*
The photos below are actually of two different resin heads and they have slight differences, as you'll notice.
I played with hair color and highlighting on earlier heads and then finally settled on a uniform brown, even though the card photo has Carrie with some blonde highlights.
Gary's leash is functional and Carrie's outfit and SparklySneakers mimic an outfit she wore at a recent convention. I also included her solar system ankle tattoo, of course.
I hope you enjoy Carrie and Gary, Version 3.0 (the second version's sculpt was modified and I think this one is a bit better). They are both more accurate to present-day Carrie.
Thanks for looking!
