IMDB - The Town that Dreaded Sundown

Based on a True story.
Another custom which was years in the making.
Waiting for the right moment, right materials, right inspiration.
NECA gave me all the above.

The Boy stumbled onto the mask fabric at Jo-Ann’s one day.
Brought it home, and I did some experimenting to see if I could “form” it as a mask.
If you haven’t seen NECA’s Friday the 13th Part 2 hooded Jason, it is stiff and removable..it will keep its shape (for the most part).

If anyone can guess who the base head is, I’ll send you warmest wishes

I did a hybrid body for this one.
It’s a Type-S with the NECA forearms and boots attached.
With a little heat, it all comes apart nicely and goes back together nicely...an easy mod.

The pants were made by The Boy.
Coat is a dyed NECA.

I really don’t like how the insert poses the figure inside the clamshell, so I will probably open it back up and mod the insert a tad.

Yea Steve, I was waiting for the right time to build this figure...doing it in mego-esque form just never seemed proper. NECA’s Film characters gave me what I needed.
The show is pretty interesting also. It was one of those films that scared the heck out of my Wife - it was the spook movie in their family.
When I started thinking about how I would build this figure, I obtained an old Press Kit booklet that had some groovy art samples and stuff....and that was well over 15yrs ago lol

too strange, this weekend I watched the original remake and a doc called legend killers which traced the original "phantom killer" case and now I see this too strange....BUT GREAT WORK!!!!!
