Fantastic Four Ben Grimm & The Thing Alter Ego 2-Pack!
I asked Toyroom to make me a Alter Ego Card for Ben /Thing a while back - as always he came through with flying colors! I had not had a chance to finish the figures until last night.
When making something to be as strong as a rock - you normally start with using Bricks!! LOL
Ben Grim was made on a Doc Mego Body - with a Brick head from EMCE -(Thanks Steve!!)
I made the shirt and tie to match the card (Card had blue stripes - but I felt green would look better)
The Thing is an original Mego Thing - I just re-painted his head to match the suit - paint dried a little lighter than it looked but still blends nice.
I added Doc Mego arms and painted them to match the suits and went with the black in between the rocks like on the suits. I went kind bold on the hands. I tried the same with the head but it was to over powering so i washed the head clean and repainted it again with thinner markings thanks to the advice of Vman. And it loks a lot better.
And again the "Fantastic" cardbacker is from Toyroom - Thank you Anthony
Also through in some shots with him loose and in a Toyroom box before I stuck him to the card
Thanks for looking
Enjoy!
