batgirl & catwoman-very basic tv show customs

    Hello fellow Mego people,

Haven't done much Mego stuff for several months, thought I'd get back with some simple projects.

So here's my take on how Mego may have handled Batgirl & Catwoman based on the old TV show

    DSCN0537_215.jpg

I'm sure CTVT will do better than this of course...when they get to it...

Heads & a couple items from CTVT, but mostly Doc stuff. Again, very simple.

Just thought I'd share, for fun.

I like those a lot! In fact, I like the simplicity of them more than what FTC is doing. It's almost that, in attempting to go more detailed and lush, FTC is losing the Mego vibe and just making 12 inch Sideshow figures in an 8 inch scale. Yours is what Mego would have done.

That's how Mego would have done it.

For once I disagree Andy. While Mego's superheroes were more simplistic, their figures based on real people were always more detailed and realistic. I'd place FTC's Batman 66 figure detail at the same level as Mego's Wizard of Oz or CHiPs figures.

                  The customs look great though!

This is the Catwoman I wish Mego would have done during the original line. I never really understood the choice to go with the one they put out (even though I have like three or four of them!) That being said, there is no doubt that, as the line aged, the figures were becoming more realistic. Hell, look at Grandma Walton! Her head sculpt is hyper detailed! Personally, I think there is room for all of them from the more simplistic ones that started the line through the later figures to what FTC is doing now with the 66 Line. And your two figures, Riderfan, fit right in. Well done!

                            Hey all,

Thanks to all that have looked & to all positive replies!

I should've mentioned (give credit where credit is due) that I got the idea to combine the cowl with a Robin mask from Vinny0026's black suit Batgirl thread posted a few months ago. I like clever but simple ideas-thanks Vinny!

I think both of them came out great! If you need more info/ help down the line feel free to hit me up.
and the simple ones always turn out to be the most fun and the best for some reason! Keep up the good work!
