DC debuted The Warlord title with the Jan.-Feb. 1976 issue, but it went on an eight-month hiatus following issue #2, picking up again in Oct.-Nov. 1976. The title lasted 133 issues until Winter 1988. Creator Mike Grell wrote and drew the comic for six years, handing over the art chores after issue #59 (July 1982); he continued writing the series through issue #71 (July 1983).
This is a custom commissioned of me by a Facebook friend. He is built on a CTVT Conan body; belt, sword, bracelets from CTVT as well; gun and shield from drmego.com (shield repainted by me); boots also from CTVT (repainted by me); helmet from original Remco Warlord figure (repainted by me); head an original Mego Green Arrow (re-worked and painted by me); loincloth fabric by me, sewn by Hawkmike; box by toyroom. I am not sure of the origin of the weapon in his right hand.

The shoulder piece is from the shoe of a Bif Bang Pow Venture Brothers figure:

I hope you enjoy my customs as much as I do, and, as always, thanks for looking!
Peace, Love, and Megos!
