Yondu is a founding member of the original Guardians of the Galaxy team first appearing in Marvel Super-Heroes #18 (January 1969-the month I was born), and was created by Arnold Drake and Gene Colan.
Yondu is the final custom in my GOTG set. He joins Charlie-27, Vance Astro, Martinex, Starhawk, and Nikki in completing one of my favorite super-hero groups of all-time. Not to mention one of the most fun sets of customs I have ever finished. I have a tremendous sense of accomplishment right now as I am typing this.
He is made on an LJN swivel-arm body so he can aim his bow; quiver, boots, belt, bow, and hands from CTVT; bracelets from drmego.com; suit and emblem by yours truly; head is an amalgam of the Sub-Mariner head I recently used but with his hair removed and the fin from a custom Tigershark head I bought off eBay with paints by me. The only "issue" I have with him is that it is difficult to turn his head because his quiver gets in the way of the fin on the back of his head.

Group Shot. Sorry but this picture gives me goose bumps.

Always loved the way the colors on the GOTG "popped". To me, the most visually stimulating comic book super-hero group ever.

I hope you enjoy my customs as much as I do, and, as always, thanks for looking!
Peace, Love, and Megos!
