Serpenotep -- Enemy of the Mighty ISIS

    Viva Villaincia Obscuria!

Even Isis needs an enemy. Right?

If you are familiar with the short-lived 1970s The Mighty Isis comic book series presented by DC TV Comics, you may be familiar with this dastardly villain. He appeared in Issue 7 and was seeking revenge on a 1000 year old vendetta.

Now, the artists take various liberties with this character, from using different colors for the cape and cowl on the cover and in the pages to variations of his jewelry and neck-wear. So this is my interpretation of him.

He is built on an original Mego Type 2 Falcon body; CTVT cape and sandals; Drmego.com bracelets and modified amulet; Hawkmike made the "skirt"; the belt is a combination CTVT Conan belt and cobra head from a Disney toy staff; head is a modified Vin Diesel head with paints by me.

throughout the comic, and here on page 9, you can see his primary colors are red...

cover of issue 7. As you can see his primary colors are green here...

and in the book he is wearing a necklace and on the cover an amulet.

Also, I tried to make the belt with the help of Legend of Link, who did a great job, but the head of the snake was just too high for the Mego body. So I used my artistic liberty to simply make the cobra head more or less a belt buckle. Viva artistic freedom!

Didn't have an Egyptian background so Paradise Island will have to do.

    Confronted by the Mighty Isis!

I hope you enjoy my customs as much as I do, and, as always, thanks for looking!

    Peace, Love, and Megos!

Dude, that turned out great! And I am ALL FOR artistic freedom. Some of the best customs on this site are from people who put their own slant on a figure while staying true to the original concept. Well done!
