Hi all...thought I'd share some pics of my latest project....here's a little background...the Super Joe Shark Adventure set is one of the rarest Super Joe sets out there. It was only available thru mail order only if you were first a member of the Super Joe fan club. The set consists of a mask, scuba tank, 2 black flippers, 2 black hoses, a black speargun and a grey shark. To find this set in its mailer bag is next to impossible as there are only a few known to exist. But with a little patience it can be pieced together from other SJ sets and other Hasbro lines. The shark can be found in numerous 12" gi Joe sets. The flippers, hoses and scuba tank can be found in the Super Joe Treacherous Dive set. The mask and speargun, as well as the hoses and scuba tank can be found in the Charlie's Angels Underwater Intrigue set which is also made by Hasbro.
The set did not come with a scuba suit, so I used an existing Super Joe suit and dyed the arms and neck purple. I also had to replace the elastic that attaches the mask to the figures head. All I had was white, the original is black. Not too much "custom" work, but I figured I'd share anyway...enjoy!
