Custom of the Week - 1/6/2015 - Captain America

We usher in the new year with a nearly scratch built Captain America by Boss. With the exception of the hands and shield, this stunning figure began as a pile of resin, fabric, and paint.

I just finished this guy and I couldn't be happier. Ingredients: Head: original sculpt from scratch (with exception of the ears and wings on helmet) Body: my B-1 original muscle body Hands: From a BNatural Uncle Sam Outfit: sewn by me Shield (temporary): from a Marvel Super Hero Mashers figure boots and gauntlets: sewn by me

I tried about 5-10 years ago sculpting from scratch with pretty bad results. Yesterday I decided to give it another go. He's not perfect, but he's light years ahead of my previous attempts. Now I just have to figure out what character to make.
