After Silver Surfer and Ghost Rider, Captain America is my next favorite Marvel character and is by far my favorite Marvel A-lister.
Captain America was the very first comic book I subscribed to...and then I discovered Ghost Rider and Silver Surfer but, Cap has always had a special place in my nostalgic heart. I freakin' loved the re-runs of the 66 Marvel Captain America cartoon.
I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my two Retro Marvel Cap sets but, I had to try my hand at making my own Cap before they arrived.
Head - Wade Wilson sculpt, my paints
Body - Doc Mego Buff Swivel Bicep with a spare pair of red hands
Suit - Brian Leitner (Awesome work Brian!) with Paul "Laser Mego" Wasson's star chest emblem
Boots - Doc Mego red pirate boots
Shield - The beautifully crafted 40s style cavalier shield is from Paul "Laser Mego" Wasson, when this gorgeous shield arrived I had to bump Cap to the front of the line of the current slew of customs I am working on
So, without further ado, I present my first Captain America custom.

I started to try and take some action shots with Cap in front of this Avengers background but, my camera's battery petered out after I got this one.
