Custom of the Week - 10/27/2014 - Elvira

This week's pick is really a no-brainer. The master of flock - piecemaker - strikes again with his rendition of Elvira. Utilizing the head from the old Figures Toy release from the 90s, grafted to a Zica body and flocked to perfection, this dame is ready for a ghoulishly good time.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.A Fun custom that finally came together.Elvira 's been on my "to do" list for
a couple years or more and everything has just been sitting around waiting for me to figure out how to do her hair.


I'am not a big fan of sculpted/painted on hair on female figures and my original idea was to go with a repainted face
and restyled/rerooted hair on a "Yvonne" figure and just use the costume from the FTC figure.

But since i had never done even a "simple" restyle/reroot, figuring out how to do her funky hair style became an
even bigger problem to figure out so she went into an indefinate holding pattern.

Then the Flocktober Flockathon happened and as i am making Flockenstein,Bride of Flockenstein,Dr.Zauis and
Werewolf of London, i am walking right by Elvira sitting on a shelf on a daily basis.

If she could talk she would have said,"You Dummy, i'am right here".

I think it was the thread "Elvira does MEGO POTA and other collectibles" in MEGO BUZZ that finally triggered two
brain cells to rub together and "on hold" Elvira was finally born.

The K-I-S-S principal deinitely worked the best for this custom.

And in case you missed them the first time and because i want to use this dumb line and they needed a group shot.
