Curse of the Werewolf - Oliver Reed

This went together pretty fun. It was a spur of the moment build. I was on the fence about sculpting the chest hair, but The Boy dyed some fur and kicked me in gear.
    N2lm head
    EMCE lower legs and pants
    Type-s pelvis, torso, arms
    Dyed fur
Ctvt straight jacket as the shirt
    Hand made cumberbund

Sean has pics how we hacked the body together. I'll get him to post em.

That is absolute genius what you did with the EMCE legs too!

thanks! I missed out on the awesome Distinctive Dummies version so I figured I'd make my own. As seen in my recent post history, I can sit a year on a figure build to get my overall vision built. This one, meh, probably been on the table a week. Granted, I was on the fence about how to do him and it took The Boy to kick my rear in gear. I was going to handmake the shirt - nope. Once he gave me that straight jacket, the material was perfect as was size. The sleeve were extra long, and I simply folded them up to create the wrist cuffs. Oh, and the straight jacket IS on this figure backwards by the way. I just unstitched it a little bit. Also to credit The Boy i was going to put him in some Lost brown pants and Klingon boots for that English look. Well, when he spit out Trek legs, it sorta clicked but I already had the chest fur glued down to a Type-S body....so there was that mod to figure out.
I have a few Glow in the Dark bodies to use up, and on this guy, the body was going to be covered 100% so it was a good use of parts since I don't make any figures that glow in the dark LOL.
The head is a great sculpt and scale is dead on perfect. If I had anything to comment on, that would be the texture. It's not a bad casting, but it's rough. My face paint job (to me) looks poorly applied, blotchy and rough....that's because of the actual head. It made it a little challenging for me to paint, didn't quite get what i was looking for, but it works for a gritty wolfman.

Yea, lately the ctvt outfits have been hit-n-miss for me. The miss being that they are way too small - even for a ctvt body. I've gotten to where I simply won't buy anymore clothing for important jobs where I am counting on good fit. It's either DrMego or handmade...or a kitbash & dye from something I know that fits. The straight jacket had the four long wraps I had to cut off - which worked to my benefit. I needed scrap material to make that ruffle along the left side of his ripped shirt, which is simply a glue-n-fold-glue-n-fold trick.

Oh, and his hands are some quickly 3D printed hands Sean whipped up for me. I ripped some of the dyed fur out of a patch of leftovers and applied a layer of my glue. Pressed a few strands of fur onto the tops of the hands...applied a little more glue and did another fine layer.

oh, and another tip I did on this guy was that fur...
To give it some shape, again, The Boy figured this one out - but he grabbed his dog's wire brush and brushed this fur.
Wow, sure, it pulled some of the fur out just like a real animal, but it worked that fur really good. that's how I combed his chest - just pulled in the direction I wanted. Once I had the fur laying the way I wanted, i used a wide bristle brush (one I normally dry brush with), dipped in some diluted black paint, and dry brushed some definition to the deeper chest areas to give that added dimension. Same method and brush to dabb some diluted blood on the fur.

Great idea. From now on, I'm only wearing straightjackets as shirts.
No more worries about short sleeves....
