Starsky and Hutch kitbash

Alright i've always liked starsky and hutch but the mego versions to me were just blah.
The sculpts were great but no weapons and crappy clothes.
This is what mego could have done and should have done to make these figures pop in my opinion.
Starsky:
Mego head
Castaway swivel body
CtVT clothes(still debating on the brown leather Jacket)
AJ spy gun

Hutch:
mego head
Doc swivel body
Ctvt clothes
chips gun

That's just about the same as what I did. I redressed some extras I had to make them look more show accurate. LOVE Starsky & Hutch. One of my all time favorite shows. Great job!

I agree that mego could have chosen better outfits for Starsky and especially Hutch, and never gave them weapons, although mego probably thought that might have been a choking hazard and or easily lost. Your Starsky looks fine,
I would give him the brown leather jacket like he wore sometimes on the show, Hutch looks fine too, maybe the
A.J. over the shoulder holsters from the spy outfit would be a nice touch for these if you want.

Save the black leather jacket for Chopper, if you ever get him, although he was made up, mego's outfit for him was atrocious, they should have went the Fonzie way for that one with a baseball bat and chain for good measure.

I know Starsky wore the black jacket once in awhile ,he mainly wore the brown one and the sweater though.
I want a brown leather jacket from ctvt but I'm a little apprehensive as three of my black leather ones just seemed to fall apart?
The shiny leather just crumbled this was the only good one I have left.
As for shoulder holsters I custom made them for both.the picture didn't turn out so I'll do it again.
I have a few aj ones but I don't like the fact they cross the chest.
