Like many I am saddened by the passing of Robin Williams. Dave and Paul did a shrink of the Mattel Mork back in the day, I just felt like it should get a little time in the header.
Truly one of the best. He's one actor that you really didn't need to even know the name of the movie as long as he was in it you could play it for the whole family. I vote we make him the Mego Meet exclusive for 2015.
From Popeye to Mrs. Doubtfire and every other character this brilliant actor portrayed bringing joy and laughter to millions, if not billions. While comedy was his wheelhouse he did not fail to demonstrate his acting talents in dramatic roles like Good Will Hunting and Awakenings or in thrillers like One Hour Photo. Mr. Robin Williams, you be missed dearly by those you have touched through your craft. I hope your soul finds the solace it seeks on the other side. Rest in peace my friend.
This goes to show that depression is an illness that needs to be taken seriously. I can't believe a guy with that charisma , wealth and fame was able to do that to himself... no one was able to comfort him and stop him from doing that. I'm really really sad , more than i should be i think. But this really makes me think about life and how short it is. You should hug your loved ones. And enjoy. Open your arms for those who seek to be heard.
The world was a better place w/ Robin Williams in it. The loss will be felt for years to come. RIP Robin.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
I was fortunate to have met him a couple of times in my life, as a kid during the Mork era and as an adult. Beautiful soul and humble being. One of my top ten favorite movies of all time is World According to Garp. He will be greatly missed.
