DCD 13" Golden Age Sandman & Sandy, the Golden Boy customs

After an extended break, I finished a couple of new 13" DC Direct customs today - the Simon & Kirby Golden Age Sandman and Sandy, the Golden Boy. After starting his career in the classic suit/gas mask/fedora costume in the early Golden Age of comics, in December of 1941 Sandman was updated with a more traditional superhero costume and given a kid sidekick (they were all the rage in the 40's!).
For Sandman, I used a DCD Superman figure & head, painted a pair of Green Arrow boots I had, used Lex Luthor's holster & kryptonite ray gun to stand in for his wirepoon gun, and the rest I made by hand.
Sandy is a movie Spirit figure with the head repainted, he's wearing Superman's trunks, belt and modified boots, he also has a Lex Luthor holster & gun, and the rest I made by hand.
Mostly satisfied with how they came out, though I may take another stab at Sandman's mask at some point.

And here's a pic of them with my custom of the earlier incarnation of Wesley Dodds:

Awesome as always. Of course I love the unique, pulpish, gas mask Sandman, but there is something about that generic super hero look of the purple and yellow version. Great job on him and Sandy!

Thanks for all the kind words, folks. I've pretty much exhausted the roster of the JSA at this point - I'd still like to do a Johnny Thunder and Thunderbolt, but I'm not sure how to pull it off yet. Ditto that for Ma Hunkle/Red Tornado. Since I've already made customs of Liberty Belle and Johnny Quick, as well as GA Aquaman, the Freedom Fighters and the 7 Soldiers
of Victory, I figure I'll take a stab at completing the All-Star Squadron roster - Tarantula, Firebrand, Guardian, etc. The Paul Kirk Manhunter is also likely, and I'd love to figure out a way to do Plastic Man.
As an aside, I've reached an impasse with my Blue Beetle figure; I have the costume and most of the mask completed, but I can't find anything suitable to use as the lenses for his goggles. I need 2 lens that are round and "domed", tinted yellow or light orange and clear (see-through so the eyes are visible through the lenses). They need to be probably 3/8" in diameter or so. Any ideas?

I love your work, so by all means keep going with the All-Star Squadron. From Amazing Man to Zatara, there's probably about 30 characters you could still make.
