I really liked the Astronaut Taylor shared by Brown Bear the other day so thought I might make one myself to go with my PotA figures. While looking through my extra parts an idea popped into my head for a re-do of the Klingon to be closer to TOS uniform.
Inspired by the elegant simplicity of what Brown Bear did, I took a Klingon shirt and blackened the vinyl, then used an AJ Secret Agent shirt for the collar and sleeves. A quick bit of sewing and the top was done. I next cut up the shoulder holster from the Secret Agent set and added a short sword to it. With black Star Fleet pants and Klingon boots it was complete and took just a couple of hours!
The only thing I left out is Klingon insignia buttons. I couldn't figure how to re-attach them the way they were on the original shirt so I'll likely glue them. I also plan to add a thin sheen of silver to the vinyl to lighten it and be more accurate. Still I'm pleased with the result so far given so little time invested.
Any feedback or suggestions on what else to do with the costume?
