Game of Thrones Action Figures - Wave 8

With wave 8, we check in on the gang in Dragonstone!

    Lord Stannis Baratheon

Stannis is a modified Evel Knievel head on a Type S body. He wears this funky mix of leather, chainmail, and armor plating... which I tried to capture here with a mix of fabrics and foil decals.

    Melisandre the Red Priestess

Melisandre is a Dorothy head and a Mattel body, but once again, the highlight of this figure is the unbelievable reroot and styling by Amy. That bun thing at the top of her head is unbelievable! I sewed the slinky red dress, added the flame jewel necklace and chain belt, and finished with ruby slippers.

    Ser Davos, the Onion Kinght

Davos is a resin Ghost of Captain Kidd head that I reworked slightly and put on a Type S body. But the thing I love about this custom you can't even see most of the time. In Game of Thrones, Davos was a former smuggler, and Lord Stannis cut off four finger tips from Davos' right hand as punishment for his smuggling past. He wears the fingerbones in a bag around his neck, and rubs them for luck. So I had to remove some fingers...

Thanks again for looking. As always, you can see more of wave 8 and all the Game of Thrones customs completed so far on my Photobucket.

Fantastic figures Davos is my favorite of the bunch.

            Thanks for the compliments!

When I get to 30 figures, I'm gonna stop (or at least take a long pause). Don't worry... to commemorate the occasion, I'm sure will be some sort of photo spectacular of all the figures together. And a lot of disapproving looks and head shaking by my wife.

Very awesome customs. I am big fan of GoT (books and show) and you have done a top-notch job of introducing the inhabitants of Westeros to the Megoverse.

And, yes, I noticed Sir Davos' finger bones, I love your attention to those types of details.

This is all sorts of awesome. My first thought upon seeing the first photo was "Ah, but did he think of chopping off the end of Davos' fingers?" You did not disappoint.
